Extra interview
When it comes to your significant other, how would you feel about them going to a male strip club?
MB: “I’d like to think that I’m secure enough that I wouldn’t care.”
You wouldn’t?
MB: “Let me just lie to myself, ok?”

afsu:
So that you guys can see more clearly…

Matt Bomer: My White Collar Cast Mates Make Fun of Me for Magic Mike
Though he says that in his downtime he’s a jeans-and-T-shirt guy, Matt Bomer wore a navy chintz wool tuxedo by Calvin Klein to Monday night’s C.F.D.A. Awards. “I’ve definitely cultivated a real appreciation for stepping it up a bit when I go out, for sure,” the actor told VF Daily about getting all decked out. (See the rest of theguests at the C.F.D.A. Awards here.)
And then there’s Magic Mike, where Bomer takes it all off playing a male stripper. Are his White Collarcast mates teasing him about it? “Oh, yeah! And it’s only going to get worse after it comes out,”Bomer said, laughing. “Look, Steven Soderbergh is a brilliant director, and when he called and asked me to be a part of it, I said yes before I even read the script, really.” He describes the movie as “in the vein of Saturday Night Fever.”
Calvin Klein’s menswear designer, Italo Zucchelli, who is intimately familiar with Bomer’s shape from having dressed him in the past, says the actor’s hard body is not much different than it was before doing the stripper role. “He has an amazing body. Uh, he probably worked out a little extra to do that movie—I would if I were doing a movie like that—but it was already good,” Zucchelli said.
We asked the designer if any Calvin Klein suits could be used, in a pinch, for a striptease. “Those kind of suits have not only stretch, they have a lot of Velcro, because they have to come off in a second,” he said, surprisingly knowledgeable on the subject. Calvin Klein does not make that kind of suit for men. Yet.
“I may actually do one!” Zucchelli said. “You gave me an idea to do it. Maybe I should.” Can we get Matt Bomer in their next runway show, please?

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: We’ve got to talk about playing a stripper in Magic Mike.
MATT BOMER: Exotic dancer. We have pride. [Smiles]You had to get waxed, right? Did it hurt?
Yes and yes.Have you waxed before?
I had never been waxed before. I did have to get partially waxed. I’m not a very hairy individual to begin with, but it was painful. But more than that, the pain didn’t bother me so much, it was more the feeling of feeling kind of prepubescent again, walking around with no hair on your legs, in jeans, feeling kind of naked all the time, that was odd.Did it grow back okay?
Actually, the regrowth process was really s—-y — itchy, uncomfortable. I have a newfound appreciation for women, between the waxing, self-tanning, the constant gym time; I have a whole new profound respect for women and what they go through.(via siora-jp)

For Magic Mike’s Strip Sequences, Olivia Munn Has the Best Seat in the House
When Vulture caught up with Olivia Munn last night at the Princess Grace Awards Gala, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, we had to ask how Steven Soderbergh’s male stripper epic Magic Mike was going. “It’s amazing to watch everyone,” she gushed of her cast, which includes Alex Pettyfer, Channing Tatum, Matthew Bomer, and Joe Manganiello. “They’re a talented group of actors who learned how to do these amazing dances.” So she’s gotten a sneak peek of the bump-and-grind choreography? “I’m not getting a sneak peek — I’m front and center, going, ‘Oh my gosh!’” Munn exclaimed, her hands over her mouth. “I’m not a very shy girl, but when I watch them, I become a very shy, giggling Japanese schoolgirl: ‘I can’t believe I’m watching this!’ Like, I regret the days I’m not there watching them dance.” Even the glamour of the Princess Grace Gala couldn’t quite make up for what Munn was missing. “Like, right now, I’m mad,” she confessed. “I’m furious that I’m not there watching Matt Bomer shake it, because he can shake it, probably better than most people in the world.”

Matt Bomer’s Tale Of Learning How To Put On A Thong For ‘Magic Mike’
“It was criminal man, we had a blast. There’s a new band of brothers in town,” Matt said of bonding with his co-stars. “There something about having to throw a thong on in front of other people that just instantly forms an ensemble. We had a great time. I really think there hasn’t really been a movie like this before, and we did it all on a G-string budget,” he said with a smile. “I’m excited to see what people think.”
Speaking of those G-strings, I asked Matt if he or his co-stars picked up any new tricks or interesting facts with regard to the makeup and wardrobe required for strippers. He answered that question with the most entertaining story I’ve heard in a while.
“I think most importantly for me, it was figuring out how to put on a thong. The first time I tried, I had never worn a thong before, so the first time I tried it I put it on wrong and my junk didn’t fit in it,” he said with a laugh. “I had to call a wardrobe person in, ‘Something is wrong with my thong, you guys. I think we are gonna have to figure this out,’ and they’re like, ‘Yeah your legs are in the wrong holes.’ That was step one. No, there weren’t that many tricks going on, it was sort of a lot of tearaway clothes you know. There’s definitely a technique to make sure you get those off cleanly.”

From IMDb messageboard.
Will die of embarrassment watching this film, but so so cannot wait!
Wonder if he’s going to be a singing stripper, or if he was singing to entertain the extras?
